It's but a week to go until Christmas! There are more than 15 Christmas carol events, some jolly Christmas storytimes, a long list of fun Christmas community events, and a sprinkling of Christmas craft activities. There are places where you can get a fresh Christmas tree, Sydney (see below).

Saint John Catholic, Stanhope Gardens

The parish of St John XXIII was established on 6 October 2002. Geographically, the church includes the suburbs of Glenwood, Stanhope Gardens, Parklea, Newbury and Kellyville Ridge. The library at Holy Cross Primary School, Meurants Lane, Glenwood is where the community used to gather for Sunday Eucharist back in the days.

The new church at Stanhope Gardens was completed in March 2007 and formally opened on the 2nd of Jun 2007. The primary schools, John XXIII, which opened in 2005 and St Mark’s Catholic Secondary College, which opened in 2007, are in the same parish site as the church. Father John McSweeney heads the church.
